The Next Big Thing!

I’ve been tagged to take part in The Next Big Thing by fellow writer, Melanie Robertson-King.
I answer ten questions about my next book then pass the baton on to two more authors. It’s loads of fun and you never know what you might find out about an author’s book. So here we go!
What is the working title of your next book?
I Spy Something Wicked
Where did the idea come from for the book?
It actually started with the idea of "Can a ghost drive a car?"
In what genre does your book fall?
YA/Adult
What actors would you choose to play the part of your characters in a movie rendition?
Natalie Portman for the main character and Johnny Depp for the ghost "with eyes the color of melting chocolate."
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
Tessa can have everything she's always wanted if she can ditch her mom, solve her uncle's murder and find the ghost with eyes the color of melting chocolate.
Who is publishing your book?
4RV Publishing
How long did it take you to write the first draft of the manuscript?
Years! It's gone through many revisions.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
The Dead is the New Black series by Marlene Perez. It has the same supernatural humor:-)
Who or what inspired you to write this book?
My favorite question: What if? What if a young woman met a ghost as a child, but was told it was all in her imagination?
What else about the book might pique the reader’s interest?
It's a humorous, paranormal mystery ~ something for everybody! (Not to mention, the ghost is really cute!)

Now, to select two or more people to take part who will post their next big thing on May 30th.

Sounds like a great read, Susan. I'll need to check out the 2 authors you passed the baton to next week. My interview is up too for Melanie, but I only passed off to 1 writer. I forgot until yesterday to ask someone. My bad! Good way to hear about new WIP though.

Ghosts with eyes the colour of melting chocolate and look like Johnny Depp - I'm in! Good luck with your book, Susan.
