Shamrock Ladder

When my son was little, we used to prepare for the leprechauns. We'd make shamrock ladders and hang them from the window ledge. Then, during the night the leprechauns would sneak in, climb the ladders and leave gold coins. In the morning, if we looked close, we could even see their wee footprints in the magic dust left behind.

How to:

Make four shamrocks out of green construction paper.

Take one straw and cut it into five pieces.

Poke a hole in the center of each shamrock with a pin.

Run a string through the shamrocks and the straw pieces alternating between straw piece and shamrock. Tie off at the bottom. Leave a bit of string coming through the top straw.

Tape string to window ledge.

After you're wee one has gone to dreamland, dip your index finger in baby powder and make "footprints" on the shamrocks. At the top, leave gold covered chocolate coins for found treasure in the morning.

"Keep reading and dreaming"

God Bless,
Susan

This is a cute idea, Susan. It's a quick idea, and I know little ones will enjoy it.
